The Friends of Jackson Park Trail are sponsoring a work party that will be concentrating on the stretch of the trail bordering NE 145th St. They (YOU too!) will be cutting back blackberries and other invasive vegetation encroaching on the trail, and removing litter. Please bring hand pruners and stout (blackberry proof!) gloves if you have them, also a source of hydration.

Volunteer sign-in at the northwest corner of the trail on NE 145th St. & 5th Ave NE.

We hope to see you there!

P.S. Monthly work parties are being planned for the 3rd Saturday morning every month, with planning meetings on the
evening of the second Wednesday of each month. We are starting small, by cutting back encroaching vegetation, but we
hope to move on to removing invasives and replanting natives in the autumn and winter.
We are also looking for volunteers with expertise in: invasive vegetation removal, native plant restoration, grant
writing, fundraising, webpage development and maintenance, and volunteer coordination (work party leadership). Please
contact Junior Kitiona (Junior.Kitiona@seattle.gov) if you are interested in lending your skills.
