Kingfisher Ecological Restoration Party

October 10, 2015 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Kingfisher Natural Area on Thornton Creek
17th Ave NE & NE 100th St
Seattle, WA 98115

Come help the Forest Stewards of Kingfisher Natural Area restore one of Seattle’s finest city parks! Located in a calm residential neighborhood of northeast Seattle, Kingfisher Natural Area is home to owls, hummingbirds, a variety of woodpeckers and even receives a visit by an occasional bald eagle. The towering trees and the sound of Thornton Creek make it feel as though you have left the city and are walking in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. We would greatly appreciate anyone that is willing to share some of their time and energy to help us restore the beautiful forest habitat of Kingfisher Natural Area and learn about the processes that go into restoring landscapes. This Saturday we will be prepping an area for planting and look forward to seeing you in the forest with us!
